Dirty Projectors: The Fine Art of Reinvention

During the Dirty Projectors’ set at Emo’s, someone from the crowd yelled at the stage, “This is the best Black Flag cover band EVER!” Although their newest release, Rise Above, is a reinvention of Black Flag’s 1981 album, Damaged, the Dirty Projectors could not sound more dissimilar to the hardcore punk band.
