Break Teeth and Make Music with Hot Hot Heat

In the middle of the European leg of Hot Hot Heat’s tour in support of Happiness LTD, band leader Steve Bays is more than a little jetlagged and road weary, but somehow, that doesn’t exactly translate into “exhausted.” “We’ve been to Scotland and Ireland and England in a three-day period, and I’m just trying to grasp for some sort of sense of normalcy,” Bays says. “I almost kind of like that. After a couple drinks, I kind of enjoy the feeling of being totally sleep-deprived and hung over.” Bays and the rest of the band may just now be getting used to the discomforts of touring, even after several years of experience.
