KLRU All-Star Celebration Benefit at ACL Live
- Details
- Published on Tuesday, 14 May 2013 02:39

This Thursday at ACL Live, KLRU will host a benefit to raise money to continue the ongoing project of digitizing and managing over 8,000 hours of old Austin City Limits show tape. The resulting digital archive will be shared with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum and there are plans to eventually sell the content to the general public in the form of DVDs, CDs, and downloadable content. The benefit will also honor Lloyd Maines, who has appeared on Austin City Limits 16 times, more than any other artist in the show's thirty-nine year history. Maines helped to curate the evening's calvacade of all-star musical performances. Attendees will be able to see the Dixie Chicks, Courtyard Hounds, Natalie Maines, Ben Harper, Joe Ely, Bruce Robison, Kelly Willis, Terri Hendrix, Carolyn Wonderland and Terry Allen.
VIP tickets are still available. The VIP seats include: Premium seats, VIP Access to Backstage After Party, VIP Lanyard, and VIP ACL Gift Bags Including a Commemorative Poster. After the jump, view our exclusive photo gallery of the Austin City Limits archive before it was shipped off for digitizing.
